Java / WebSphere Lead
A Thompson Technologies client has a contract to hire opportunity for a Java /
J2EE WebSphere Lead Architect preferably with experience in WAS and/or RAD environment. Our client is in the Financial Services industry and located in downtown Atlanta.

SEEKING SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Senior Developer seasoned in J2EE /Java development in WAS or RAD to serve in Lead role:
*Key Leadership skills including:
Leading other developers
Assisting with high level problems
Complex design, code reviews, implementing planning among teams and PM’s, leading offshore teams
Ability to develop and analyze Java code
Experienced in a UNIX environment
Ability to develop SQL code
Has experience working with DB2
Ability to comprehend COBOL code
Experience with TSO on the mainframe to support use of CA7, Spufi, Report generator and Platinum
Experience working WebSphere products:
WebSphere Application Server – WAS
WebSphere Customer Center WCC (Highly Desired)
WebSphere QualityStage - WQS
Ability to work with XML creation and comprehension
Experience working with customer information systems
Excellent analytical skills, judgment and oral and written communication skills
Has ability and willingness to write clear technical documentation
Ability to lead team of developers, assign tasks and monitor status
Knowledge of business systems and processes within the financial services industry; recent (within last 3 years) working knowledge of multiple tools, systems, applications, services to support financial services industry; experience with SunTrust business systems and processes.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with one or more of the following: Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, ETL tools, RDBMS and/or multi-dimensional database; ERP systems (such as Oracle-GL, PeopleSoft), JAVA/J2EE/Web Services, Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management methodology,
Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills
