So long as nobody created an expectation that it would be addressed in a timely manner, well, I'd say it's reasonable. Just shows the importance of creating realistic expectations right up front.

Only 25 years? Some people who worked on Y2k will tell you that code a lot older than 25 years had to be fixed.
