Hi,

I have the follwoing scenario and I mentioned the dummy class names

1.Class Stock{
public Quote quote;
getter and setter for quote
}
2. Class Quote {
public String name;
private String[] namesArray = new String[]{"101:A","101:B","103:C","105:X","103:Kalyan"};
public String setName(String name){}
public String[] getAllNames(String particularId){
//based on the particularId it fetches values from namesArray

//and prepare the string array and return it.
}
}

3. My web service returns the "Stock" object.
4.Client gets "Quote" object from "Stock" but I am not able to access getAllNames(id) method. How do I do this?

I am using Apache axis and Jdk1.5

Thanks in advance,
Kalyan

Hi!
What does the getAllNames method do?
If it does anything except retrieve some data already present in the object, then you try to do something that cannot be done.
Best wishes!

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
