Hi Amarkirt. It is not must. The J2EE specifications guarantees that the data to be transmitted over a protected transport layer. It will not dictacte which protocols must be used.

But there is a question in HFJS mock exam and it says it is required:

Which statements about the HTP session support are true?

a.Java J2EE containers must support HTTP cookies.
b.Java J2EE containers must support URL rewriting .
c.Java J2EE containers must support SSL.
d.Java J2EE containers must support HTTP sessions even for clients that do not support cookies.
e.Java J2EE containers must recognize the HTP termination signal that issued to indicate the session is no longer active.

Answers are : a,c,d

that means that its a must to support SSL for a container?
