Who's supplying CORBA these days? From what I could tell, the supply kind of dried up around 2005. Back then there was even some promising open-source stuff in the works, but from what I can tell, it all withered.
I'm looking for something that can be tunneled securely through http(s). I'm coming from Borland VisiBroker, but I didn't get the impression that they're actively doing things with it anymore (correct me if I'm wrong). Linux-friendly open-source options are also welcome, but I'm interested in anything that might do the job.
The secret of how to be miserable is to constantly expect things are going to happen the way that they are "supposed" to happen.
You can have faith, which carries the understanding that you may be disappointed. Then there's being a willfully-blind idiot, which virtually guarantees it.
