The scientist kamalhaasan who gets united with the lead actress Asin towards the end of the film - are they meant to be understood as rebirths / reincarnations of Rangaraja Nambi (who is killed at the beginning of the movie)and his wife? They get separated at the beginning of the movie and they get united again towards the end (in a different life). Is this how the story is to be understood?

And how is chaos theory and butterfly effect related to the story exactly? I didnt quite understand. Just wanted to get your opinions before watching the movie again.

The following post answers all your questions - I got this as an forwarded email, which I read before seeing the movie.

PS: "Me" in the post refers to the anonymous author and not the real me
