Hi ,


I know how to use Apache DBCP Connection Pool when using with Hibernate .

But can anybody please tell me how to use DBCP in a Applcation without using Hibernate .

Please go ahead in using apache dbcp.jar and start using connection pooling mechanism.

Apache DBCP is the default pooler for Tomcat, and it comes as part of the stock install download. To use it, just follow the instructions on the Tomcat site for configuring a JDBC datasource.

Tomcat supports pluggable connection poolers, so while DBCP is the default, you have the option to use alternative connection poolers if you need to.
