Best Buy's website seems to be having difficulties. When I select, Computers > Laptops from the menu, it brings up the DVD, Wedding Crashers. When I search the site for "laptop," it brings up a 1929 Erich Von Stroheim DVD, The Great Gabbo.

I'm not shopping for a laptop from Best Buy (someone else just asked me to look at something), but I think I want that Von Stroheim DVD.

I have noticed recently that search on many sites is really really really bad. Maybe they've all just given up?

Best Buy's search feature has always been ridiculously poor. They may as well label the button, "Next 250 entirely random suggestions."

I'm going to start with the assumption that folks on JavaRanch are smarter and more technically knowledgeable than the average bear.

Why would anyone from here shop for anything at BestBuy?

There was a time years ago when you could get CDs there at very good prices, but no one buys CDs anymore.

Their sales folks know less than a random guy on the street.

I buy because the stores are conveniently located and sometimes they have good prices for things I may want immediately.

Why don't they incorporate a Google search into they're site?

So I ordered the Von Stroheim DVD. From Amazon.

Even in cases where Best Buy has the best price (which is rare), I'm happy paying more elsewhere to avoid the aggravation.
