can i execute RMI application inside a JDK that is simply copied and pasted to another drive...  RSS feed

hi to all...

can any one clear me this doubt...

i have a JDK folder copied and pasted to a drive and i am not installing JDK on that drive....
can i have my RMI program to run successfully........

Sounds like trouble to me, the other system will not have the environment variables such as PATH that Java typically uses.

What happened when you tried it?

when i used local host as server it worked..............
haven't tried it on a remote machine..........
will try it and say..........

ya i tried and the program is running successfully........
i just copied the jdk to a drive on both server and client......
i executed all the commands inside the bin folder of server and client respectively....

thanks for your help....
