I would like to thank this Forum for the precious information I got from it (and I must say it is not the first time).
I have been preparing the SCDJWS for a long period (in spare time from work and rest of life) but I decided to go for the newest version a few weeks ago only, having read about the low passing score (42%, I confirm). That saved me money and time to go for an update exam.
My advice is be quick to do this exam because Sun sooner or later will rectify the passing score. Too low to be true (and in fact it should be 68%, as from website).
This is the detail of my exam, if you might be interested:
Topic : Percentage
xml ws standard: 50
soap 1.2 ws standard :33
wsdl and uddi - 100
jax ws: 40
REST, JSON,SAOP, JAXP,JAXB :57
JAXR : 100
J2EE WEB SERVICES : 75
SECURITY :60
DEVELOPING WEB SERVICE: 67
WSIT :20
GENERAL DESIGN AND ARCT : 75
END POINT DESIGN AND ARCH :75
...That tells you I did not have much time to assimilate the new topics...
Funny to notice that what I had hated to study for most of this period, that is UDDI and JAXR, probably saved my...
Many thanks to Ivan Krizsan, his notes are not only a course handbook but excellent reference material in case you need to get deeper for daily work. I'll personallly keep it. Maybe
you should sell that stuff, mate.
And to MZ, also his notes, sold at honest price, have been very useful indeed.
As for the RMH book, that I studied thouroughly, for the new version of the exam, is probably useless (except for UDDI and JAXR), although I think it is easier to understand JAX-WS if you start from JAX-RPC.
I did not have time to study other material or doing tutorials or mock exams. My voucher was expiring.
Cheers
