Hi,

This is a fairly high level, view from 30,000 feet type question, but I'm hoping someone can help me with a clear overview.

I'm planning an app. that needs to scale somewhat and will likely have parallel threads running to complete tasks. I'm planning a JSF app. (is this vague enough yet ;-)

My question is this: Will resources available such as threads, be constrained by the container or the JVM?

i.e. Would a container like Tomcat or Resin be my resource bottleneck if I wanted to have multiple threads running, or would it be the JVM and it's available resources.

thanks....
