Just a marketing ploy. Most probably the contest will be rigged. Some of the "winners" will come out of the theatre before the movie ends. Makes for a nice headline - "Movie so scary that you can't watch it alone".

Nothing is scary unless it is real.

Don�t get surprised if person left theater in the middle of the movie � it is highly possible that person left theater because movie is a dumb movie. Baring few movies, RGV�s all movies are scary � even those he tries to make them thriller or suspense or action. We went to watch Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ram_Gopal_Varma_Ki_Aag ) last year and left theater in just half an hour. This and some of his other movies can be effectively used to torture someone.
