Hi All,

I did SCJP 1.5 certification recently but my score was too less(63%)...Could anyone please tell me how can I improve my score...I had a glance at the Sun's official website, and I found that I am unable to appear for the same
exam once more since I passed it...Can I appear for the upgrade exam for SCJP 1.6 or should I go for SCJP 1.6 exam, in that case do I get a brand new score???...please help me out....

Regards,
PS

Yes the new score will be brand new. However no one ever asks for your score once you finish the SCJP. You are SCJP certified, and thats it. Some do not even mention the version.

Hello Prasad!
I think, the upgrade from SCJP 5 to SCJP 6 is waste of time and money. Don't bother about it.
Just wait for the brand new performance-based SCJP+ exam or even prepare and try to pass the SCJD to "overlap" your previous exam.

It's a new exam from SUN (which will eventually expire the old SCJPs). And that's involved some coding in the exam. However the link for that is currently expired. We'll get more details soon from SUN hopefully
