Hello All,

In book it is mentioned that not to use prefix thats on the reserved list like java, jsp and all. But what happens if we use those?
It wont compile or it throws any exceptions or something else?

Thanks,
Geeta

Hi Geeta. HFSJ(2nd edition) page no.487 says, Do NOT use a prefix that's on the reserved list. The reserved prefixes are:
jsp, jspx, java, javax, servlet, sun, sunw. I tested(with tomcat5.5.9) using all prefixes. Except prefix 'jsp'(which throws 'org.apache.jasper.JasperException' saying invalid standard action) all are working fine without any errors.

Can anyone please explain, why the prefixes jspx, java, javax, servlet, sun, sunw are kept reserved? Thankyou.
