can we use same port for ejb and serlet

We access servlets through HTTP then those servlet may access EJBs (which are located in the same or some other server) through JNDI. But we can access EJBs directly from application client also. What exactly is your requirement ?

yes your are right asking about remote client ...that is in our application we are using application client that directly interact with server ejb componenets in this case can we use same port for both communication

If the server is listening in different port other than default you may use a Hashtable to provide the port the container listens to.
