i have a compute engine which will serve as a remote service provider (simple rmi thing), now don't know what security things it needs and how to get that.... here is what i get when i try to run the remote implementation class

Looks like you have enabled security manager. If you need it then you should specify proper permissions in the java security file otherwise do not enable the security manager.

Google for more information on java security manager and java security file.
