Role overview: As a Java Software Engineer you will be designing and implementing server-side components for large-scale web applications utilizing state of the art Java technology and development processes. You will be a key player within our team, contributing your hands-on software engineering expertise and excellent problem-solving skills. You will also interact closely with our front-end developers, to provide highly interactive and seamless user experiences.
You will begin working on the development of our vision to create the best online media destination, www.Kontain.com. Working on this cool, emerging social media platform will allow you to use cutting edge Java technology (Spring, Hibernate, Wicket, Maven).
Our Java Software Engineers are detail-oriented and extraordinarily passionate. We are looking for ambitious and communicative hands-on individuals who are comfortable working as part of an interdisciplinary team, and have experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge & Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of Java/J2EE, with at least 5 years of commercial development experience or 3 years if you have a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience in building server-side components for large-scale web applications
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies
- Experience in working with:Spring framework, Hibernate, Apache Wicket
- You MUST be a US citizen or resident (Fi-NYC)
- You must be prepared to relocate to NY
