Guys,

I took the exam over four weeks ago (it'll be five on Monday) and haven't heard anything yet.

Will I get an email to tell me whether I've passed (or not! ) or do I have to keep checking www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment to see whether they update my 'Test History'?

Cheers,

Chris

Howdy, champion!

Yes, you have to keep checking http://www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment which is where your results will be published.
In any case, send an email to [email protected], asking if they received your assignment and already matched your essay exam with it.
It usually takes 4-6 weeks for you to get your results, so there's no need to worry for now.

Hi Chris,

Take a look here. I describe the complete process of what you should see in which databases during the waiting for your grade.

Kind regards,
Roel

Thanks for that guys, looking at the Sun certification database it appears that I have two promteric IDs!

Anyway, I do have an entry in my history...

Exam Detail for Chris Bicnal - SUN0102XXXXX
Posted Date/Time: Jul 6, 2009 1:58:26 PM
Description: Result for exam (310-027) Sun Certified Developer for the Java 2 Platform (310-027).
Exam Result Details:
Testing Center Id: gbl
Exam Series #: 310-027
Exam Name: (310-027) Sun Certified Developer for the Java 2 Platform (310-027)
Exam Date: 6/29/09
Grade: Taken

...so I think there could be something going wrong with the two Prometric IDs.

As an aside, did anyone else have the grade as 'Taken'? Roel, from your email I thought the status was meant to be 'Pending' or something like that?

Chris

Hi Chris,

Seems weird to me, because according to that info your assignment was graded in just 1 week

I have the same description as you, but my grade is "Passed". And I thought as long as your assignment is not graded, you should see the "Pending"-description (as I described in the other thread). But it seems they have mixed up some things with you, so I would send an email to [email protected] and ask for some explanation and clarification.

Kind regards,
Roel

My entry reads:

I submitted my assignment on monday 20th and took the exam on tuesday 21th of july. The grade "Taken" seems right to me.
I emailed Sun on the 22th to ask for confirmation and Sun replied by stating "Our records indicate that your assignment and essay have been received, matched and sent to the assessor. Please allow four to six weeks for grading.".

That also seems right to me

Seems they have changed the messages in the history overview.

Kind regards,

Grading takes 4 till 6 weeks, so that you are still waiting is just normal

Hi,

I took the SCJD exam and uploaded the assignment, so now I am waiting for results. Because I am a naturally impatient person, I want to create a small tool to check the database periodically for the result. This saves me hours of lifetime, because otherwise I would check too often manually...
So, could you please verify that the result will be visible under this URL: https://www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment/tinfo.idc

I have the results of all my four completed certifications standing there, and would just like to make sure that this one will also be printed there, or at least anything will change on this page as soon as the result is ready.

Thanks in advance,

Matthias
