hai,
I want to create a folder browser,using java(core java) ,as a part of my academic project. Kindly help me for doing that.

Hi Soumya

With the help of java.io.File you are able to retrieve all the information about files and directories. Then with the help of those information and swing/awt componets you will be able to create application like explorer.

Just have the above only for reference and try to do your project by your own.

When you do, make it like the NeXT/OSX browser that allows easy horizontal navigation--I've always liked that style.

I wonder how many times I've implemented that, and in how many languages? The first one I did was a DOS-based TSR popup back in the late 80's.
