Hello,

I'm using scriptaculous for the effects in my .html file. The behavior that I'm having is
is the text appears when the page loads and then quickly blanks out and slowly appears
again (based on the Effect.Opacity that I'm using). The problem that I'm having is that
the text appears and flickers to nothing and then slowly appears.

The "slowly appears" is obviously based on the Effect.Opacity that I'm using. The
"text appears" is because that is how the html is written. I can't make the text color to
be the background color (hence it is invisible) because when would I make it the proper
color for the Effect.Opacity to do its job. The other thing is I may have text below the
<div> that has text showing immediately and thus I don't want that to slide down because
the browser's renderer makes room for the <div id="description"> to show.

So what is the pattern that I need to use in order for the page to initially show blank
and then the text begins to appear (based on the Effect.Opacity that I have below)?

Below is the code that I'm writing.

Thanks,Jim

Hello Eric,

So if the text is hidden, when would I set it to be non-hidden?

Thanks,Jim
