Can anyone explain whether destroyApp method is going to be called after notifyDestroyed method is called.

I have gone through several posts but still it is confusing.

http://www.coderanch.com/t/229975/Java-Micro-Edition/Mobile/destroyApp-true-notifyDestroyed#1073041
In the above link it was given that destroyApp method will not be called after notifyDestroyed method.

But in this link http://www.coderanch.com/t/157252/Mobile-Application-Certification-SCMAD/certification/MIDlet-destroyApp-vs-MIDlet-notifyDestroyed
it was given that destroyApp method will be called after notifyDestroyed method.

thanks,
vijay.

No, notifyDestroyed() will not call destroyApp(). Notify will just tell application management that midlet entered Destroyed state, but it will not release resources that has to be done through destroyApp. API is clear on it, dunno why that confusion in second linked post
