real time java problem

I am trying to design the elevator control system as part of my project but got stuck in between.
I dont have much idea about the hardware required for this
Please help about the technologies to be used.

I am not sure I follow the logic here.

Ok. So does your project involve interaction with a real elevator, or would it be simulation on the screen, or part integration with some physical device such as a motor or some lights?
What have you got so far and where exactly are you stuck?

You'll need an elevator.

You'll need to know where it is, how fast it's moving, where the floors are, which floors have requested an elevator, which floors the elevator needs to stop at (and a host of other in-car things, like the run/stop switch, fire access mode, etc.), and probably a few others (but not many more).
