I am experiencing weblogic 10g release 3. I want to configure Execute Queue, and I cannot find steps to create. I heard Execute Queue only available in old weblogic version. Is it true ? The reason I want to do create Execute Queue is because I want to see statistics in running thread count and request in queue for specified servlet. Please advice. Thank!

Hi,

There is no Execute Queue concept from Weblogic server 9 version onwards. They have intoduced WORK MANAGERS instead of that. Now WebLogic Server uses a single thread pool, in which all types of work are executed. WebLogic Server prioritizes work based on rules you define, and run-time metrics, including the actual time it takes to execute a request and the rate at which requests are entering and leaving the pool.

You can still access those statistics while monitoring the work manager. Weblogic will scale thread resources as they are consumed
