hello,

i have a dynamic jsp page and i want to save the static html ouput to disk. not sure how to do this.

i'm very new to jsp programming and doing simple java programs.

your reply would be much help for me.

Please do not post the same question more than once.

Why do you want to do this? There are easier and better ways, as outline in the other post that you found.

i'm not sure if this is the simplest way. but the idea is to save it as html then convert this pdf.
i will use htmldocd for the conversion but do need the static html output of the jsp.

There are tools and libraries to create PDFs directly. Have you considered them?

Trying to create HTML as an intermediary format just adds another complex step to the process.

that would be my resort if i cant get this. i will be using itext. but it would be hard to follow the format of the report.

i have an image save as a blob object in the database that would be generated to the report, can itext handle that?

itext can handle an imaged passed to it. An I guess you already have that available as an image. Otherwise you couldn't create the original html in the first place.
