Hi,
I am pretty new to this struts stuff. I have to try out some struts example first to understand how it works. Can somebody provide me with some details regarding this. Details such as what to add in jsp file, ApplicationResource.properties file, config file entry, etc.,
Any link to try out some struts example would be great.
Thanks.
Appreciate your help.

I recommend this article by our very own Thomas Paul.

Hello Mandy,
I read through the book "Professional JSP 2nd Edition", which provide lots of examples and good explanations on JSP.
Chapter 21 gives an example of using Struts and provides a shopping cart implementation. Download the example application from www.newparticles.com/struts
The example does not implement a persistent layer, which I am interested in doing. If anyone can provide a Strut example which provides a persistent layer to mysql, I would very much appreciate it.

Currently you can download beta-chapters of a not yet published O'Reilly struts-book from theServerSide.com
Don't know if the source code is yet accessible, but the chapters seems to be really good.

Should I add my own a gratutitous self-plug?

This is more a lightweight lead-in to show the high points (When I first got into Struts, all I could see was trees, and I wanted forest!).
What might be especially useful, however, is that the bare-bones Struts app described there is running at
http://www.mousetech.com/strutdemo/index.jsp
AND it's annotated, so you can click on the links down at the bottom of each page to view the components that were involved in the creation and display of the page.
