Hi,

I've seen in photos about Bonsai, but never seen it in person. How do they look and is it being cultivated all over the world? Anybody have this at your home?

er, they take decades to grow. You don't just buy a tree and water it. It takes years and tons of care. They are usually kept out of doors most of the time, as they are real trees, and real trees need light, air, etc. in addition to water.

Get a book or two, its a real commitment.

Seeds.
Bonsai trees are real trees, just scaled down.
The idea is th plant a seed, water it, make sure there is enough sunlight and air and watch it grow.
Every once a while, gently uproot it, trim the roots a bit, and replant it.
Repeat.

Of course this is just a layman's view.

Like Pat said, get a book or google or make friends with someone who is Japanese. They invented this stuff!
