I am trying to use the onclick event in an input tag. The response is not very consistant. Every click does not respond for some reason. Any ideas?

is there a
pattern
to it? This script worked for me ...
window.onload = function() { document.getElementById('input-x').onclick = function () { alert('Input X click works'); }; }
Pretty consistent out here.Any particular browser, name, version?
Trilochan.
