Hello Ranchers,
I am trying to do automated testing on a medium size web app, which I am building as a personal project. The website has navigation (java script) , images, text fields, drop downs etc.. I am looking to find a free regression tool that I can enhance to use with my application. I would like to fill fields with data and submit the form.

Any advice would be appreciated,

thanks,

Hello,
Look at these:
Selenium - supports many languages (Java, C# etc), for more information please visit this page
Tellurium - based on Selenium, additional information found here

thanks for the response, I am looking for a more client side regression testing in ie, I will look into these things in more detail, but my intial reaction was they are more server side testing tools than client side.

John, they are client-side. Both tools essentially operate the actual browser, which is about as client-side as you can get. Unless I've misunderstood what you mean by client-side?

John:

What you describe in your initial post is exactly what Selenium specializes in.

John.
