How do we suggest JVM to use particular Garbage Collection algorithem

Is there any provision to tell JVM that, Garbage Collection Algorithem to be used it mark sweep or Object Pooling ect...

Sun has published an article on tuning the garbage collection options http://java.sun.com/docs/hotspot/gc5.0/gc_tuning_5.html. Section 5 talks about the types of collectors.

Hi,

In addition to above to analyse the effect of changes you can use HPJmeter this works with Sun JVM as well.
