Dear all,

I have error 500 problem that I cannot resolve. I am using Netbeans 6.5.1, Tomcat 6.0.18, and jdk1.6.14.

  • I have created a web application that has a web service client to an external web service. I am using the Struts framework, and create the client with Framework Struts 1.2.9, and Generate dispatch code. This builds fine in Netbeans, deploys fine for localhost.
  • I then create a Java ME project, then create a MIDLET and a Java ME to Web Application Client that has the web application set to the Web application initially set up. In the Java ME to Web Application I set up client to use the webservice Client in the web application with Binding Structure being generated. The MIDlet makes reference to the object in web application client and writes two values to the webservice through SOAP. Again this builds fine locally and writes the values supplied to the application successfully.
  • localhost address: http://localhost:8180/Avtws18se/servlet/com.myapp.struts.Avtws18seservlet

  • The error 500 occurs when I use a hosted shared runtime manager (NGASI), I upload the web application to the hosted server through their Deploy new tool, I give the name of the Application Avtws18seservlet. In the MIDlet, I use the server address I made no configuration changes, or changes any XML. Being a shared runtime manager I don't have access to the log files and on the numerous occasions I have asked for them, I have had no response from the company. So how do I diagnose the issues causing the error 500, or is it something that I haven't done with the configuration of the xml.

    I await some help, regards,
