Hi,

I am new to web services and am trying to debug an issue.
I generated the client and server stubs using AXIS 1.4 (wsdl2java).
I can invoke the WS on my local machine using the client but when i try to invoke the WS using the client on the actual environment i am getting the following error.
Please assist.

Hi!
It looks like an error in the server causes a SOAP fault to be generated and then an error occurs when generating the SOAP fault(?).
I would guess the problem is in the dependencies; when deploying to your local machine, you use a set of JAR libraries. However, when deploying to the production server, it seems like the set of JAR libraries accessible to the web service is not entirely the same.
Are you invoking the both services with identical parameters?
Best wishes!

The reason why i was getting this error seems to be the different versions of AXIS being used...
Axis1.4 on the client side and Axis1.1 on the server side. the request formed using Axis1.4 was not being handled properly by the server.

Is there any alternative, fix or patch available which makes an Axis 1.1 server and Axis 1.4 client talk to each other.

Thanks in advance.
