hi there ,

I just wanna ask if is it possible to use 3rd party software in a java program?

example, i have a scanner and a scanner software and I wanna use it in my program.

So, if i run my program and (let's say i have a button) click the button, it would launch the

scanner application and i will be able to use the scanner. Isn't it like a link?

thanks a lot for the help ...

Do you mean import code from outside .jars? Start with the Java™ Tutorials about .jars. You will have to add the location of the .jar to your classpath. Probably best done with the -cp flag (see this page or corresponding non-Windows pages) or in the manifest file.
