Hi ,
I have studied Cameron's study guide throughly and getting 85 to 90% in his mock exams. I am planning to appear for the exam in a week. Couple of days ago I got wizlab mock exams.. and I find them HARD.... Sun practice exams are not even that hard... Can anybody PLEASE guide me? In some wizlab tests I have also failed.. Has anyone solved wizlab mock exam?

thanks in advance

You'll find that my exams are very close in difficulty and scope to the real exam.

When you're running out of ideas for mock exam questions, it's easy to stray from the objectives and put in questions that are harder than anything someone will see on the real exam. I'd hazard to say that is what you're seeing in the WhizLabs quiz - the question writers having a hard time coming up with enough questions, so they stray. There's nothing wrong with 'overstudying', but yes, I have seen these types of exams disparage people, as opposed to giving them the confidence they need to pass the exam.

I also have a book of exam questions available that has over 350 questions not listed in the SCJA certification guide. That's extremely representative of the exam, and many people have told me that going through those questions was the difference between passing and failing for them.

Best of luck in your studies!

I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME! I've taken several mock exams (Sun,Camerons, Java Ranch) and scored fairly well on those.. i took the WizLabs one this morning and scored something like a 46% on it even though i am fairly certain i did better than that.. maybe their answers are wrong ?!? it could have been the cold medicine i was on too.... either way, when i saw that score it was a shock to the system and I started to panic. Its good to know someone else had the same problem

Yeah, the Whizlabs exams for SCJA aren't really all that in line with the objectives. The questions often focus on topics oustide of the core objectives, and many of the coding questions are too much in line with SCJP, as opposed to SCJA. There's nothing wrong with knowing too much, but it has been known to throw alot of people off.
