JAX-WS RI: Example of a TWSDLExtensionHandler with an external binding file?  RSS feed

I can get a custom TWSDLExtensionHandler to be created and registered, but I can't seem to get its handler methods to fire (doHandleExtension or the various handle*Extension). Does anyone have a working example? Here are the basics of what I've tried (JAX-WS RI 2.1.3 and 2.1.7):

And then my handler includes:

I know that the handler is instantiated and its getNamespaceURI method is invoked to register it, but that's all that happens. I'm sure I must be missing something in the external binding file, but I'm not sure what it is. Any help appreciated - thanks!
