How to identify autoreply mail from normal mails?

Hi ALL,
In my application(J2EE based) i need to differentiate between normal mails and autoreply mails. Its possible to do it subject, however this may not work always as with some mail server clients you can customize the subject. is it possible to do with some message headers? please help me

It's highly unlikely there's any way to do this reliably.

I agree with David. Auto replies are a mail server / client specific mechanism, and each one can decide to do it in a different way. Mostly, the system just creates a new "regular" reply automatically and sends that.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
