I currently have a login for that I want to show all errors with the errors.header and errors.footer at the top of the page. This works great. However, when I want to show an error about the userId next to the userId field I still get the header and footer. Is there anyway to use the <html:errors property="userId"/> tag and not show the errors.header and errors.footer, or better yet specify an alternate header and footer that contains the formating I would want for small text?
Thanks,
jb

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
