Do we need to apply security in message level in e-commerce mobile appliaction call secure web service, since messages contains sensetive data?

or using SSL is quite enough and suffiecent?

please advise

SSL will provide security between the client and the server. If you need security outside of that channel (for example, from the web server to a backend server), you'll have to provide additional measures.
