I want to connect my laptop to a Samsung SCX-4216F printer that is right next to me. The disc that came with the Samsung printer can no longer be found. Therefore, I downloaded the driver, 20051121081135921_SCX-4x16_RCP_English, from the Samsung website and unzipped it.

I have also gone to the Control Panel --> Printers --> Add a Printer --> Add a Local Printer --> Locate and Install Driver Software

But, I missed something -- the driver that I downloaded has to be located to be installed. I need to know where to put the downloaded driver software to be located and installed. Please guide me. Thank you.

I think that I did not choose the port correctly. It should be LPT or USB?

The downloaded driver software can be located; however, documents cannot be printed. Well, the cable between the printer and my laptop is connected.
