Hi.
I am little confused about the "mappedName" that what is it used for. mapped name is defined as vendor specific name. Does it mean the server vendors like JBoss and GlassFish.
Please if any one can clarify me on this.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, that's what it means. Each vendor like JBoss and Glassfish can give it's own meaning to the mapped name and hence you might see different behaviour in each server.

Thanks for the reply. But if create an ejb like

@Stateless(mappedName = "myejb")
public class MyEJB implements MyEJBLocal {

public MyEJB() {
}

}

and declare its mapped name like mappedName = "myejb". Then does it mean that the way to its lookup will change across different servers?? or if not then what kind of different behaviour in different servers can i expect??

Oh. Ok. Took some time to understand. Means that each server uses the "mappedName" according to its specific meaning for that server.
I guess i am right now
