Hi ,

I am pretty new to EL syntax and i have a scenario where in i ve to replace the occurrences of single quote ' with space .
Currently i am using the below syntax in <a href> which works fine but its showing EL Syntax Error on my JSP

"${fn:replace(name,'\' ' ,' ')}"

I am using couple of more parameters in this <a href> like "${account}",The prob might be because of using single quotes and double quotes.

I would appreciate if someone could help me out in this concern.

Thanks,
Jalsa

I really dont get any errors but it shows "EL Syntax Error" with a red mark on JSP.
But the code is working but I was wondering if this might break up in PROD as I cant push this jsp with an EL Syntax error.

This just means that your IDE is stupidly reporting an error that does not exist.

If there were really a syntax problem, the page would not display.

Yes.. i did felt the same way that my IDE is acting wierd!!!
But i ve seen the same EL Syntax error in a different IDE too.. Then i ve started thinking abt it seriously that will there be any issues if i push this code to PROD.

"abt"?

Please use real words when posting to the forums. Abbreviations such as "abt" in place of "about" only serve to make your posts more difficult to read. Please read this for more information.

Because your IDE is stupid? Seriously?
