Hi,
At home, I'm using Windows Vista and FF 3.0 and I got a weird problem, whenever I browse JR, I can't see any post date.
This is not the problem with the Safari browser and I can't check it on IE.

Is it new forum problem or I'm missing something ?

It could be some kind of JavaScript problem; do you have JavaScript disabled or somehow partially enabled?

As that page changed in yesterday's deployment, it could be a bug. Do you see the post date on the main forum list page? I attempted to use the same code. It's entirely possible I didn't do it right.

It does work on my machine, but that doesn't help you.

If you have JavaScript disabled, it should display without the time. Now that you mention an error, I see a straggling "close anchor" that shouldn't be there. I've removed it via a hot deployment.

Can you try again and reply with whether it is still an issue. And if it is, can you check if you have any JavaScript errors noted in Firefox?

When I disable the JS, its shows a date, but I enable all the available JS option present in the FF,

Here are the current screenshots of FF JS config:

Also, I'm unable to attach/upload any image, I need to login into JR using Safari and then I attach files

What is your time zone set too, do you have any other language preferences set on your computer?

Voila !!!
I think thats the problem, my Vista machine is set to right time zone, but with regional (Hindi) language preference. I'll update here once I reached the home and checked the system settings.

Solved the problem
I just change the "Language Settings" from regional to "English(United States)"

Thanks Eric, now should I conclude that its a problem with FF on Windows Vista when language option is not the English one.

Eric

How these two settings (timezone & language preference) were causing dates not be displayed?

Thanks.

Not necessarily two things, its either of two (or both). In my case the later one (language preference) is the cause, when I found my time zone is correct (as expected, its set to 'Indian subcontinent' time zone)

For those of you with the problem, can you type

javascript:document.body.innerHTML = new Date().toLocaleTimeString();void(0);

into the address bar of your browser, hit enter, and copy the text and pass it on in this thread.

Thanks
Eric

On FF, when I change the language preference to regional one, it doesn't print anything, otherwise No Problem !!
