Hi,
I'm trying to get the facebook into my web application. Can anyone send the java source files to connect to facebook n get the friends list from my application.
It should work as if i'm working from my application(For example, In Rediff, we can connect to Facebook. There it prompts for login. Once we login there, all my freinds list
will be displayed.) We never get a feeling that we are connecting to facebook from Rediff.
Thank you

With Regards

You could start with the Facebook Developers site.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for your reply.
I have tried that Facebook Developers site.
But that is not the requirement for me.
I'll clearly explain my requirement now.
I have a website. From that website, I want to login to Facebook, get friends list and chat with my friends. Everything should be done from
my site itself. Whoever visit my website, they can login to Facebook n chat with their friends. For better understanding about my requirement, login to rediff and then go to Facebook, there you won't get a feeling that you are working on Facebook website. I need a jar file with which i can directly contact Facebook.
I hope you got what I want to tell.
I'll be waiting for your quick reply.
Thanks in advance.

With Regards

I'd say your two options are either a) to use a Facebook-provided API to do whatever you want to do (in which case the Facebook developer site has everything you need), or b) to work on the HTML and HTTP level with a screen-scraping approach, in which case a library like jWebUnit would come in very handy.

I very much doubt that the problem is as simple as adding a jar file to your web site and through that somehow obtain this functionality.

Like in the link above, but one link in that page takes you to

http://developers.facebook.com/connect.php

It is an api for your web site to use, and they now have one for iPhone apps too.
