Hi everyone.

I am going to start preparations for SCWCD and I do not know if there is any sense in buying a voucher right now. I think that I will attend the exam at the end of the year. So I do not know if there will have been a new version of SCWCD by the end of this year. Should I wait with buying a voucher? SCWCD 5.0 covers rather old version of J2EE. What do You think, my friends?

Offtopic (sorry for that):
I know that the basis of xHTML is required. So what's about that basis? Should I only know the most common tags and the document format?

Thanks in advance!

Servlet 2.5/JSP 2.1 are not much different from Servlet 2.4/JSP 2.0 (which the current exam covers). I'm certain that there will not be a new exam that covers those version.

The upcoming Servlet 3.0 spec has some new stuff that will probably lead to a new exam being created. But since that spec isn't even final yet, I'm fairly certain that a new exam won't appear before the second half of 2010 at the earliest.

I would generally suggest to buy the voucher when you are ready. This way it is for certain that you are up to date.

Thanks a lot Ulf. Do you have any good site with the differences between those versions of Servlet and JSP?
Thanks Sebastian - I will buy the voucher when I am ready.
