Hi,
I passed SCWCD5.0 with 89%. I am thankful to Bryan Basham, Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates for their excellent book, 'Paul Wheaton' owner of JavaRanch, 'Christophe Verre' our forum leader, 'Bear Bibeault' jsp forum leader, members of the forum and everyone who plays a role in JavaRanch.
My preparation is :
1) I studied Head First Servlets and JSP 3 times.
2) Practiced all free mock exams provided by JavaRanch.
3) Peabody notes on Design patterns.
4) Followed SCWCD forum.

My next target is SCJD.
All The Best for all, who are preparing for exam.

Thakyou All.

I like the concepts like Swing, RMI/Object Serialization over TCP, Multithreading, File I/O etc. My interest and value of the certification made me to decide SCJD. I think it will take 3 months to start preparation. I will prepare SCBCD, SCDJWS after that.

As 'Hasnain'
Did you go through the Specs at all ?
HFSJ covers all needed for exam. I think it is enough.

As 'Prashant'
did you use any commercial mock simulators ?

I didn't buy any commercial mock simulators. I practiced free mock exams provided by JavaRanch. If we are trying to understand the subject deeply, thinking it in different views and practice it, I think we don't require. If we have, it is plus point.
