Hi Ranchers,
Need your help in estimating the details about accessing web service which should be shown in class and sequence diagram .

Is it fine to just show a Web service Broker interface for accessing web service which can be accessed by the business layer , or more details like searching the registry and implementation details of the Broker Interface ( JAXRPC or POJO ) should also be included .

Thanks and Regards,
Chiku

Chiku,

Do not include technology related details in your design, if not necessary. If you have designed a separate component used from your business layer to access web service, as for example Message Interceptor Gateway, you might want to display it in you diagram since it is part of your application; if you directly use some external framework API, like JAX-RPC, it wouldn't make sense to show it in your class diagram. However, it might be appropriate to show dependency relationship to JAX-RPC component in you component diagram.

Regards,
Janis
