Can anybody give us a talk about STRUTS?
What it can do and can't do.
This framwork's strong points and weak posints.
What kind of new functions will be added to it.
If the major IDEs have contained it.

This post is more appropriate to the Java Frameworks forum. I will move it there.

Well, that's a pretty tall order for a BBS post, but ..
Struts can save you the trouble of writing your own front controller (the C in MVC). Struts can't provide features that are not supported by HTTP. Struts strongest point is its commitment to standards and leveraing existing technologies (along with an active user community). Struts weakest point is that some of the naming conventions are counter-intuitive and add to the learning curve. There is strong support for Struts in the major IDEs, with more on the way. The support for Eclipse is especially strong.
