Usually people don't prefer to switch job just before and just after marriage.

Does that mean the least talented should change jobs between December and January?

I don't think for changing job there is any specific month required... When you get good opportunity in company, you can change or switch job no matters in which month you get opportunity.

Always ready to garb good opportunity.

I simply meant that if you are really talented, the economic slow down should not affect you much.

Before, surely

Talented people could always move any time and find jobs elsewhere. Untalented people would tend to stay put, knowing they wouldn't find jobs anywhere else.

Yeah, thats right Campbell, but my friends thought is, when appraisal is done and you got some hike say 10-20%, after that, you can call the prospective employer asking him for more 10-20% hike in salary package and this ain't possible before the appraisal.

Brilliant.

As long as you don't get a 10% pay reduction
