Hi,
Pat Farrell's posting in another thread about his SlimDevices "Controller" made me curious about the latest media gadgets in your living rooms. What's your current home entertainment solution or which one do you dream of?

I recently decluttered my HiFi components and that's all what is left over:

  • Flat Screen TV
  • AppleTV unlocked with 320 GB HDD
  • Teufel Motiv 2.1 Speakers for PCs
  • Sony RM-AX4000 remote control


    • I can also use my iPhone als remote for the AppleTV and keep the TV off.

    Hmm,
    is the expression "home entertainment" ambiguous? How would a native speaker call it?

    Well, personally I think the real thing is much better. But to each their own...

    I have a 40~ inches LCD in my hall (living room), in my current rented apartment. I give my laptop's picture & sound output to it and watch whatever I wish. It's really fun.

    The Playstation 3 was an option as media tank, because it can be used as such apart from gaming. But i preferred the AppleTV box because the navigation is better. And i'm not interested in video games, so i don't miss something.
