Hi All,

I am trying to connect with another application using XML over HTTP with weblogic 9.2

In order to test the timeout scenario i have given the wrong url of the downstream application..

(Note this scenario works well in weblogic 8.1 means i am waiting some time and sending out timeout message.)

But when i use weblogic 9.2 i am getting the following error.

TaiHttpConn exception:java.net.ConnectException: Tried all: '1' addresses, but could not connect over HTTP to server: 'st-ipdweb.oss.att.com', port: '80'
java.net.ConnectException: Tried all: '1' addresses, but could not connect over HTTP to server: 'st-ipdweb.oss.att.com', port
: '80'

I guess i should make weblogic9.2 not to validate the DTD if so can anyone help me how to do it?

Can anyone please help me out in this?

Connection timeout ? DTD ? I am confused

Can you explain in more detail. Looks like a simple connection timeout exception to me

Hi Deepak,

Sorry for confusing you by saying DTD and stuffs(thats my guess i may not be correct)

The Scenario is i am trying to check a timeout condition which is working well in weblogic 8.1.

Now we are upgrading weblogic 9.2 and i am trying to check the same timecondition.

I am just pointing to a wrong URL. Its a XML Over HTTP connection. And i am getting the following error

My Log hungs here and ussually in weblogic 8.1 my application will wait for sometime and it will throw a time out error to the client. But now my application is hung.

The same scenario working well in weblogic 8.1 (Note we have not changed our application code).

Can you post the code that connects to this service ? It appears from the logs that the code does throw a ConnectException

I think the ConnectException throws to Exception and there we are just printing the stacktrace so i guess it hangs there.

Correct me if i am wrong

Whoa mama. That is a lot of code. The code is hard to read

Wrap this exception and throw it or simply rethrow it. That will give us the exact line number on which the exception occurs. Makes for better debugging
