The arguments specified by a Remote client to an enterprise bean are passed through reference.

Aren't the arguments send by a remote client are passed by value. Please confirm

Thanks

I maybe wrong, but don't are any way to pass arguments by reference through remote client, because the idea is a request and a response.

Hi Amirr,

Remote clients are assumed to exist on different JVM's. So, i dont think that its possible to use pass by reference for communication between a remote client and an enterprise bean.

Hi Amirr,

Complementing, if the interface is not annotated, or if Local, then the arguments will be passed by reference.

Hi,

Could you please recollect that arguments that we pass to remote interfaced beans or the values that we receive from them should have to be definitely Serializable.

One purpose of Serialization is that it need not be reference based, but rather it should be cabable of being assembled (deserialized) from the disassembled pieces.

Remote communications are Serializable objects. The value is the deserialized objects.

I hope I have not confused you.

Regards,
Rajesh
